Can you build a scarecrow for our Discovery Walk?
Win family days out and plants for school gardens!
We are inviting children between the ages of 5 and 12 to design and build a scarecrow for our Discovery Walk, to keep the birds off the flower seeds.
We would like the scarecrows to be as eco friendly as possible, so do try to use material that we can recycle afterwards.
Entries can be created by individual children or as a class project at school.
- Competition is open from Tuesday 1 April until Sunday 18 May.
- Collect your frame from Priory Farm Plant Centre between Tuesday April 1 and 4pm on Sunday 11 May.
- All scarecrows must be delivered to Priory Farm Plant Centre, with an entry form securely attached, by 4pm on Sunday 18 May.
- Judging will take place between Saturday 24 May and Saturday 31 May, during which time the scarecrows will be displayed on the Discovery Walk. Everyone who buys a ticket for the Walk that week will be encouraged to vote for their favourite scarecrow.
Before you start, do read through these documents very carefully, because they tell you all about the competition.
